The TBI Special Emphasis Report provides a factual overview of the impact, magnitude, and causes of TBI by age and gender with emphasis on the falls problem in North Carolina. This report also includes information on TBI prevention strategies and activities occurring in our state.
The North Carolina Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System includes questions on TBI and loss of consciousness to understand the prevalence of TBIs and the cause of injury. These data are available on the State Center for Health Statistics' website.
